About Michaell's Heritage
The artist was born in Vienna, Austria. Michaell was exposed to Modern Art at an early age. Growing up in his home with its collection of art by his uncle, the famous Austrian painter, the late Adolf Frohner (professor at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna / Frohner Museum.)
Michaell met his uncle's peers Wolfgang Hutter, Arik Brauer, Ernst Fuchs, etc. who taught Michaell the power of Abstract. Michaell moved to Southern California at the age of 22. For over 20 years Michaell visited the “nicest” places in the world for his television business. Michaell fell more and more in love with OC and learned to appreciate OC’s values. Currently, Michaell works in his new home-studio in Newport Beach where he holds monthly open-studio exhibitions with guest painters, musicians and writers.
